There's a first and second floor and one building is just rehab. The patients are there for a short amount of time. Everybody was very nice, the food was very nice, the place was very clean.

Alaris Health At Riverton is terrible. You don’t want your loved one to be there. I can’t wait for my father-in-law to get out of there. The TV is breaking down every five minutes.
This is not the place for someone you love or for yourself. Please think twice before using this facility.We need compassion and proper medical treatment, but this is not the place for this. They don’t care about patients at all. Clove Lakes was a very nice nursing home. They took very good care of my mother. I have known quite a few people that were there, and there were no problems.

My husband has now been a resident for two years. He has been given best of care from both his nurses and diligent aides. As I visit my husband every day; I only wish that the parking was better; but being realistic, that is a headache all over the Island. We had visitation rights just downstairs, but yesterday was the first day I was able to go up in her room. The rooms are rundown, dirty, and dingy. She didn’t have a shower in her room, and there was a toilet between her room and another room shared.
On cold days, there is no place to sit and chat besides the patient's room except for several loveseats near the cold entrance. Aides were great, patient, and hard-working. The doctor treated her as if she was a child.

The people have no communication between departments. Ask them what the state required minimum safe discharge protocols are and they look at you like you have 3 heads. They provided the worst care that any of my three relatives received here in Staten Island compared to 2 other nursing homes.
